The first animated entry in Star Wars canon is a feeble one, full of heavy-handed “banter” and battle scenes that drag on too long. While respectable as the foundation of what eventually becomes a well-loved animated series, alone it feels like the awkward pre-teen years in the evolution of Star Wars. 5 / 10.
